Cumulative statewide COVID-19 cases surpass 20,000

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Iowa is currently 20,012. However, 11,892 people have recovered, leaving only 8,120 active positive cases statewide.

The state's case count may have gone up, but locally, numbers stay the same.

Allamakee County has 120 positive and 88 recovered cases. Clayton County has 34 positive and 26 recovered cases. Fayette County has 27 positive and 26 recovered cases. Howard County has 12 positive and 10 recovered cases. Winneshiek has 24 positive and 21 recovered cases.

The only exception is Chickasaw County seeing a rise in positive cases from 11 yesterday to 12 today. Its recovery count of 8 remains the same.
