During the coronavirus epidemic, a number of downtown Decorah businesses which were only doing curbside delivery were given reserved parking spots outside their business.
As COVID-19 restrictions continue to be relaxed, the practice of reserved parking spots might be ending. Decorah City Administrator Chad Bird says that with numerous other businesses reopening in downtown Decorah, "parking is needed."
Bird says there's no policy as such covering the reserved parking spaces and the City of Decorah will work with downtown businesses to minimize disruption, but the days of reserved downtown parking spaces might be coming to an end.
