Work on the Locust Road project is expected to begin in a few weeks, according to City of Decorah officials. The first step in the actual construction process—a pre-construction meeting—will be held this Thursday. The meeting will be a chance for city officials and representatives from the contractor, Skyline Construction, to discuss the details of the project.
The Locust Road reconstruction project will cost a total of $5,473,404.41, with the City of Decorah using a $1 million federal grant to help pay for the project, which means it would cost the city $4,473,404.
