Group which financially supports area immigrants is asking for donations

COVID-19 finds many immigrants needing assistance. That's why the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program sponsored by the Decorah Area Faith Coalition is asking for financial donations.
The program started several years ago to help local immigrants and their families to rebuild their lives, giving newly-arrived immigrants beds, furniture and household supplies, as well as paying rent or utilities for immigrants in crisis situations and reimbursing mileage expenses for volunteers who drive immigrants to appointments with lawyers or immigration check-ins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Des Moines or Omaha. The program also helps immigrants with medical expenses or legal fees involved with their immigration paperwork and gives immigrants clothing and food as needed upon arrival, especially during the winter.
There are two ways to give to the program:
