The Nordic Fest Board of Directors has made a decision about whether or not to hold the 2020 Fest--and that decision is to cancel this year's observance.
A news release from the board states, "After much thought and consideration, for the protection of the community, volunteers and all who attend and participate, the decision has been made to cancel Nordic Fest 2020. Due to the ongoing uncertainties of COVID-19, this was a unanimous vote by the Nordic Fest Board. The possibility of holding the fireworks show is being explored for sometime later this summer or fall."
The Nordic Fest Board thanked those who donated to Nordic Fest this year, noting that donations support capital projects, such as the creation of new food booths to be utilized in future years. The membership drive will continue to remain open to help support ongoing projects.
Nordic Fest will return next year, with the event scheduled for July 22nd through the 24th.
