The Depot Outlet on Montgomery Street has now reopened to the public.
However, precautions against COVID-19 are now being taken—both for customers entering the store and for people donating items at the back of the store.
Customers who visit the store will now encounter a greeter at the entrance. The greeter will remind customers of the requirement to wear a mask (locally-made masks are available for those who forget, with donations accepted) and to practice social distancing. The store will limit customers to 35 people at any time, with additional customers having to wait until the total drops below 35. Hand sanitizer will also be available for customers.
For those wanting to donate items to the Depot Outlet, the store is asking that people limit the quantity of donations so that others can also donate. Donations will be accepted only three days a week—on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The donations will be accepted in a dedicated space at The Depot and then will be kept there for 72 hours before they are sorted starting on Tuesdays. Depot Outlet staffers ask that people not leave donations outside the building after hours, where they will sit for 72 hours and probably end up ruined and they will have to throw them away
