Oneota Community Food Cooperative in Decorah says its plan right now is to open to customer foot traffic beginning June 1st.
The store will take a number of precautions in order to make the opening possible. Staff members will be required to wear cloth face masks while working. Customers "will be expected to show the same courtesy." Enhanced sanitation practices will continue.
The Co-op says it is taking these steps because "we seek to provide the safest shopping environment for all community members and staff."
