Final decision will be made June 1st on whether to hold the 2020 Winneshiek County Fair

Winneshiek County Fair Board members say they will make a final decision June 1st on whether to hold the 2020 Winneshiek County Fair.

A statement released on behalf of Fair Board members says, "First, and foremost, the Board is considering the Youth of the Fair and working towards a positive experience for them."

Fair Board members have met with Winneshiek County Emergency Management Coordinator Sean Snyder, Winneshiek County Public Health Director Krista Vanden Brink and Winneshiek County Attorney Andy Van Der Maaten to get their advice and have watched a webinar by the State Association of Iowa Fairs.

A statement posted on the Fair Board website says, "We are looking forward to the Fair, July 14th—18th."
