Letter to the Editor: Decorah voters have rejected a municipal electric utility

"It is highly disappointing that the Decorah City Council is failing to represent their citizens.  There was a vote, remember that??  It was close, but it didn't go how the city council wanted it to.  Well, there were other elections that were close and someone lost.  That is why we have elections, that is why the big issues go to the citizens to vote on. 

The voters decided to go with Alliant.  They did not choose to keep fighting on with personal agendas to try and negate that vote.  The City council believes they know more than the voters, so here we are."
