Eastern Star staff and residents get tested for COVID-19

The tests were received from LabCorp, a private company referred to Eastern Star staff through the Iowa Department of Public Health.  The tests were administered by staff, with assistance from Winneshiek County Public Health.

Test results are anticipated to take approximately three days to receive.  The results will be shared as soon as possible with the individual and/or their responsible party.

The tests were given after two Eastern Star employees tested positive for COVID-19.  Both employees self-isolated and have since been released to return to work.  Eight other employees and three residents were tested by their medical providers for various reasons. All tested negative.
