Winneshiek Co. Sheriff's Office: Thefts and burglaries are on the rise

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office is alerting the public to the fact that Winneshiek County has seen a recent increase in burglaries and thefts.  The Sheriff's Office says the burglaries and thefts have primarily occurred in rural areas and involve both residences and businesses.

A news release from the Sheriff's Office says: "Please remember to lock your vehicles and buildings.  The Sheriff's Office is aggressively investigating these cases.   Please call if you see any suspicious activity or if you see anything out of the ordinary."
