Winneshiek Medical Center Board renews contracts with Mayo Health System for another year

Two contracts between Winneshiek Medical Center and Mayo Health System which had been scheduled to expire on June 30th of 2021 will now expire on June 30th, 2022.
Mayo has a contract with the local hospital and clinic to provide management services and professional services. WMC Chief Administrative Office Lisa Radtke says it takes a significant amount of time to do the work needed on a contract renewal and the coronavirus epidemic has made it impossible to get that work done in time.
The Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees has approved a one-year renewal of the two contracts, which will now expire on June 30th of 2022—at a time when everyone hopes the coronavirus epidemic has abated.
