Decorah City Council member "deeply troubled" by the number of weekend visitors to Decorah

The past weekend had beautiful weather, with sunny skies and warm temperatures. That led to Trout Run Trail and other tourist attractions being very busy.

Decorah City Council member Emily Neal said Monday night at the city council meeting that she was "deeply troubled" by seeing vehicles in Decorah which came from one of the 22 counties still on lockdown in Iowa. Neal said it was "disconcerting to see so many out of town license plates."

The Decorah City Council will meet again at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday and the COVID-19 situation could be one of the items on its agenda.
