The Winneshiek County Auditor's Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for absentee voting for the June 2nd primary. While voters are being encouraged to use absentee voting by mail to reduce person to person contact, in person voting options will still be available. Voters are encouraged to exercise appropriate social distancing when voting in person. Also, it is recommended that voters bring their own blue or black pen when voting in person.
A reminder, Primary Elections in Iowa are partisan. Each voter will have to register for either the Democratic or Republican Party to receive the appropriate ballot. Be sure to indicate your selection when mailing in your absentee ballot request form.
Voting on Election Day will only take place at three polling locations around the County:
Voters that would normally vote in Calmar or Ossian will vote at the Calmar Lutheran Church.
Voters that would normally vote in Ridgeway or Fort Atkinson will vote at the Ridgeway Community Center.
All other voters will vote at the Courthouse.
