Local climate organization recognizes Decorah Mayor and City Council

Northeast Iowa Citizens' Climate Lobby has sent a letter of recognition to the Decorah City Council and Mayor Lorraine Borowski for the passage of a resolution in support of national legislation that would enact a carbon fee and dividend program.
 
"This is a crucial step to reduce pollution and climate-altering carbon emissions," said Northeast Iowa CCL lobbying chair Lyle Otte, adding, "On behalf of our entire membership and those who support meaningful efforts to stem catastrophic climate change, we wanted to recognize the council and mayor for their commitment."
