COVID-19 will change the Porter House season

The Board of Directors of the Porter House has announced the museum will not open until at least June 1st.
Board members say that depending on the course of the pandemic, this date could be pushed even farther into the summer. Because of the likelihood of diminished tourism, when it opens, the museum will have shorter hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day of the week.
In addition, the Porter House's spring lecture series was cancelled and no special tours or events are planned for summer at this time. Board members hope to reschedule some events, but for now all such plans are on hold.
The Porter House board is also appealing for donations because of the impact of its shortened season and shortened hours. Visit
