Winneshiek County Veterans Affairs Office is reminding Veterans about a suicide prevention hotline

During the COVID-19 pandemic, local veterans and community members who know veterans can turn to the National Crisis Line if necessary.

The service can be reached at (800) 273-8255 (TALK), then press 1 for Veterans.

The hotline provides free support when a veteran is in distress or feeling anxious.  It offers confidential advice and is available 7 days a week/24 hours a day.
