ISU Extension training programs on suicide prevention begin Tuesday morning

There is a prediction that suicides will skyrocket this year due to the social isolation and economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to the great demand for on-line suicide prevention training, Iowa State University Extension is presenting a series of one-hour online suicide prevention training programs starting at noon Tuesday.
Other dates and times the program will be offered are:
• Wednesday, April 29th, at 10 a.m.
• Tuesday, May 5th, at 12 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 6th, at 10 a.m.
• Tuesday, May 12th, at 12 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 13th, at 10 a.m.
• Tuesday, May 19th, at 12 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 20th, at 10 a.m.
Extension staff members, agribusiness professionals, agriculture lenders and bankers, veterinarians, vet techs, commodity group members and producers can register at NO cost for any of these programs. To register, go to
