There are now just short of 4,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Iowa. Governor Kim Reynolds released the figures Thursday at her daily news conference. She reported 176 new positive cases in the last 24 hours. Reynolds says there have been a total of 25,338 negative results from COVID-19 tests.
Winneshiek County now has ten confirmed cases of COVID-19, while Allamakee County has 46, Howard County has 4 cases, Chickasaw County has 3 cases, Fayette County has 7 cases, and Clayton County has 8 cases.
Governor Reynolds says statewide, 77 percent of positive test results have involved people between the ages of 18 to 60, while those 61 and older have been 22 percent of the cases. 11 counties in Iowa have 81 percent of the positive cases of COVID-19.
