The Red Cross needs volunteers—especially in the more rural communities

The American Red Cross says it needs more volunteers to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Volunteers will gain insight and training in Red Cross sheltering and feeding processes in disaster responses that will help local communities during times of need.

There is a background check and some on-boarding that has to be completed.  The Red Cross has a process that insures new volunteers are happy with their experience and are in areas that meet their interests. The job specific training is done online at the volunteer's own pace.
