Here's how to get an absentee ballot for the June 2nd primary

There are a number of local political races which will be decided in the June 2nd primary.  If you would like to cast an absentee ballot for the primary, here's what you need to know:

A request form for an absentee ballot can be found at the Winneshiek County Auditor's website: https://www.winneshiekcounty.org/departments/auditor/voting-forms. You can print the form now and either mail it to: Winneshiek County Auditor, 201 W. Main Street, Decorah, IA 52101 or you can bring it to the Courthouse and leave it in the drop box near the main entrance to the Courthouse.

The Auditor's Office will begin mailing out absentee ballots on April 23rd.  Voting in the Auditor's Office will begin May 4th—if the coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
