Winneshiek County on Thursday will begin mailing out absentee ballots

The Winneshiek County Auditor's Office is encouraging people to take advantage of vote by mail for the June 2nd primary election. The Auditor's Office will begin mailing out absentee ballots on Thursday.

Absentee ballot request forms are available online. The Iowa Secretary of State's office plans to mail out absentee ballot requests to all households in the state.

Winneshiek County is considering where and how many polling locations to use for this election. That decision has not been finalized.
