Postville man arrested by Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies on multiple charges

A Postville man, 35-year-old James Block, has been arrested on seven charges after the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call Monday night of a burglary at a home outside Postville.

Deputies say Block gained entry to an occupied home by showing a weapon.  Fayette County Deputies arrested Block for Burglary 1st Degree, a Class B Felony, Domestic Abuse Assault 3rd Offense, a Class D Felony, Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Obstruction of an Emergency Device, Interference with Official Acts, and Public Intoxication, all simple misdemeanors.

Block was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he currently awaits initial appearance.  If convicted Block could face up to 34 years in prison.
