The coronavirus death toll in NE Iowa has now reached four

The Iowa Department of Public Health says another Allamakee County resident has died from the effects of COVID-19.  IDPH identifies the victim as an older adult between the ages of 61 to 80.

The death toll in NE Iowa from the coronavirus is now at four.  While no deaths have occurred in Howard, Winneshiek, Chickasaw, or Fayette counties, Allamakee County has recorded three deaths, and Clayton County has recorded one.  All four victims were over the age of 60.

Statewide, the Iowa Department of Public Health says Iowa has had a total of 2,141 positive cases. A total of 53 people in the state have died from COVID-19.
