A series of seven paintings of Northeast Iowa parks done by Decorah artist Mary Ann Gloe went on display at the State Law Library in Des Moines on February 1st.  Then the coronavirus outbreak started.

As a result, the Iowa Arts Council, which had sponsored the showing, has now moved the art display online. The paintings of Backbone State Park, the Decorah Fish Hatchery, Echo Valley State Park, Silver Lake, Pikes Peak State Park, and the Driftless Area are paired with posters of the scenes.  She produced the artwork in partnership with the Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation & Development, with support from the Iowa Arts Council, the Iowa Scenic Byway organizations and communities, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other private sponsors in Northeast Iowa.

The actual art display will remain up at the State Law Library through April 30th, but the building is closed to the public.  To view the paintings, go online to: https://www.facebook.com/pg/IowaArtsCouncil/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10158359518234783
