Two-vehicle accident causes $2,300 of damage

Two vehicles sustained minor damage in a collision Saturday afternoon.

48-year-old David Mathis of Decorah was turning from College Drive into the parking lot of Subway, when an object inside the truck fell. Mathis reached for the object and struck 37-year-old Steven Hein of Calmar who was leaving the parking lot.

Mathis' 2018 Chevy Silverado sustained $800 of damage, and Hein's 2006 Ford Focus sustained $1,500 of damage. No injuries were reported.
