The Decorah Library is encouraging the community to "Stay Curious" with its new lineup of digital learning activities on its website. The lineup features staff-created digital content, as well as content from other local organizations and national services. The goal is to engage, create, and learn from home.
One example is geared towards all ages of children. The library's Children's and Young Adult Librarian Rachael Button posts new videos each day with different themes to focus on activities that are positive and educational. The days and themes are as follows: Storytime Monday; Stay Calm Tuesday; Keep-it-Curious Wednesday; Sing-A-Long Thursday; and Babytime Friday. The ideas, songs, and activities are uplifting, creative, and appealing to many different age groups. For example, Button recently proposed an observation activity for her Keep-It-Curious Wednesday video. The activity used a picture frame to highlight what is beautiful or interesting in a person's yard.
