2020 Winneshiek County Democratic Party Convention will be a virtual event

Winneshiek County Democratic Party Chair Nathan Thompson says this year's county convention, which had been scheduled for March 21st, will now take place online in mid-April.

Said Thompson, "Our primary concern is making sure that all of our delegates are able to participate via email or telephone, and our successes in this process will help determine how to move forward with the district and state conventions. With the national convention postponed until August, we have a bit more room to help figure everything out."

Through the online convention, county delegates will select delegates to the Iowa First District Democratic Convention and the Iowa Democratic Convention. People selected as delegates or alternates to the county convention at the February 3rd caucuses will be contacted via email or telephone with registration instructions.
