The Decorah City Council Monday night approved the low bid on the Quarry Street storm sewer Improvements project.

The work is being done as a companion project to the work being done later this year on Locust Road.

The City Engineer estimated the cost of the project as $526,072.25.  The city received two bids, both lower than the estimate.  Skyline Construction has a bid of $437,717.50, while JB Holland made a bid of $484,271.45.

City council members Monday night approved the low bid from Skyline Construction.
