Members of the Iowa Army National Guard have begun delivering shipments of personal protective equipment to counties in the state.
In Clayton County, the Public Health and Emergency Management departments submitted an inventory of items on-hand plus a list of projected needs. A shipment arrived in Elkader Thursday and is being split apart and repackaged for distribution throughout the county to first responders, healthcare workers, and long-term care facility providers on Friday.
Winneshiek County departments have also submitted documents to the state, listing Winneshiek County's projected needs. Iowa Army National Guard units are going throughout the state to make deliveries.
