Winneshiek County Public Health is continuing to stress the importance of staying home in the wake of the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county.
Staying at home has been proven to slow the spread of COVID-19, so Public Health staffers are recommending:
--If you must go out, maintain a 6-foot physical distancing, which is about the length of a twin bed.
--Send one person to the grocery store to get essentials for ONE week.
--Utilize social media to connect socially by video streaming, Facebook live, Zoom and other apps. A news release from Public Health says, "We know you need to connect socially, but it must be at a (safe) distance."
--If you have health concerns with respiratory symptoms, call your health care providers FIRST before going to the hospital or clinics.
