Second COVID-19 case in Winneshiek County has been confirmed

The Iowa Department of Public Health has released one more details about the second Winneshiek County resident to have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. 

Winneshiek County Public Health was notified late Thursday about the additional positive case of COVID-19 in Winneshiek County.

The person with the positive diagnosis has already recovered and had been in isolation for the required 14 days.

The Iowa Department of Public health now identifies the COVID-19 patient as an adult between the ages of 18 to 40.

Meanwhile, the IDPH has also announced that an older adult (61-80 years old) in Allamakee County died Thursday night from the effects of COVID-19..
