The Winneshiek County Recycling Center is taking several steps because of the COVID-19 outbreak

Winneshiek County's main recycling plant remains closed to the public for the safety of the recycling center staff and visitors.

The recycling center is asking that the public hang onto any unusual items such as rechargeable batteries, household hazardous materials, and documents to be shredded. These require delivery to the main recycling center, but it is closed to the public.  All of the collection bins around the county and the drop off building at the recycling plant are open as usual.
