Coronavirus outbreak forces some changes in how next Monday's Winneshiek County budget hearing will be conducted

The Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors will hold their annual budget hearing at noon Monday, despite the coronavirus outbreak. However, new procedures will be followed because of the limits on public gatherings.
County staffers are encouraging the public to listen to the budget hearing via electronic methods. County officials are promising people attending electronically will be able to speak during the public hearing portion of the meeting.
The Courthouse Annex will be open to the public for those unable to attend electronically. But, due to the Department of Public Health guidelines, the public is encouraged to use the electronic methods if possible.
County IT Director Steve Smith says the meeting can be joined virtually by computer or smartphone by clicking
