Seminar held Thursday afternoon on COVID-19 assistance

Posted: Thur, Mar 26, 2020 10:28 AM

The SBA's Iowa District Office will host a webinar at 2:30 Thursday afternoon to give an overview of assistance available to Iowa small businesses through the SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan program.

The webinar will discuss loan program details, eligibility, and application requirements, as well as where and how to submit a loan application. There will also be information on counseling assistance available from Iowa Small Business Development Centers, SCORE, Women and Business Center, and Veterans Business Outreach Center.

The Iowa SBA webinar Tuesday experienced many technical difficulties. Four changes have happened since then:

1. No tax returns are required to be uploaded at the time of application now, regardless of the size of the business.
2. The SBA is not requiring personal assets to be used as collateral.
3. Tuesday's technical issues have been resolved.
4. A recording of Tuesday's webinar has been posted at: https://zoom.us/rec/play/65J5crqvrW03GoKRtgSDAv8rW42_J6Os13IW-_oKxU6xBXVXZ1WgNLUXMeAdTQS8U0352Gua_VodafDF
