A scholarship is being offered to Winneshiek County 4-H members

A scholarship in memory of Erbie and Gerry Steffens is being offered for Winneshiek County 4-H and FFA members.
The recipient of the scholarship must be an incoming freshman or sophomore pursuing an agriculture degree at either Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar or Iowa State University in Ames. The applicant also must have been a 4-H/FFA member and have shown livestock at the county fair for at least three years. Livestock includes all species.

Erbie and Gerry Steffens were 4-H club leaders who volunteered long after their children graduated. Erbie was instrumental with fundraising and developing his vision of the Show Barn at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds.
