Funeral services are among the events affected by the effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19

A wide variety of events are being affected by the nation's response to the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. Among them are funeral services.

Decorah funeral home director Scott Fjelstul says his funeral home is following the White House directive to avoid holding "gathering in groups of more than ten people" for the next 15 days. That has led to the Fjelstul Funeral home postponing one scheduled funeral service. Since the guideline will remain in effect for another two weeks, the situation could occur again.
