Decorah Public Library is closed indefinitely

Out of concern for the health and well-being of the community, Decorah Public Library has closed immediately.
Library Director Kristin Torresdal said "We have determined that the most important service we can render at this time is to aid social distancing measures and limit community spread. It is our hope that by discontinuing open hours in the short term, we can help protect our most vulnerable community members."
Library patrons are being asked to keep library materials at home for the time being because the library's book drops are closed. The library will disregard due dates and fines during the closure. Community members can still access free e-books and digital audiobooks via the library's website. Library staff will also share recommendations for additional online resources on social media pages.
