Highway 52 accident causes one vehicle to burst into flames

A two-vehicle accident on Highway 52 near the Country Express caused one of the two vehicles to burst into flames.

The Iowa State Patrol says 23-year-old Riley Marlow of Canton had stopped on Highway 52 shortly before 2:00 Saturday afternoon in order to turn into the Country Express.  The driver of a vehicle behind Marlow, 59-year-old Sandra Hageman of Rochester, failed to stopped and collided into the rear of Marlow's vehicle.  Hageman's SUV then caught fire and was fully engulfed with flames.  She was able to get out of her vehicle, but she was ticketed for Failure to Maintain Control and her vehicle was a total loss.
