An Emergency Response Team at Luther College has been meeting once a week lately to make sure the college is prepared to handle any COVID-19 case.
A news release from the college says the team is led by Luther vice president and dean for student life Corey Landstrom and also includes representatives from Campus Safety and Security, Communications, Facilities Services, Information and Technology Services, Residence Life, Student Life, Academic Affairs, Dining Services and Health Services.
The Luther group has been in regular contact with the Iowa Department of Public Health and Winneshiek County Public Health. Luther already had a Pandemic Preparation Plan before the COVID-19 outbreak, but the emergency response team has been reviewing the plan to make sure Luther is prepared to handle a case.
