Load limits are going into effect on some Winneshiek County roads

Winneshiek County is beginning to place weight restrictions on certain roads because of the effects of spring thawing on the road beds.

The weight restriction will be seven tons per axle.  Drivers should be alert for signs notifying them of the weight limits.
