Ask The Answer Person: "Is there still a need for Emergency Medical Responders in Winneshiek County?"

(Earlier this week, decorahnews.com posted a story--http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2020/01/24308.html --about the increase in the number of Emergency Medical Responders in Winneshiek County.  John contacted us to point out there still is a need for additional EMRs, despite the increase from last year):

The Answer Person says: "Winneshiek County Emergency Management Coordinator Sean Snyder agrees with your statement, John.  Not only are there a few places in Winneshiek County where there are fewer EMRs than hoped for—as our story pointed out—but new EMRs are needed so that if there are retirements or resignations by existing EMRs, there will still be an adequate number.

If anyone thinks they might be interested in learning more about what's involved and what training is needed, Snyder says you can call him at (563) 387-4095.
