Additional details about last week's ATM skimmer

Decorah Bank & Trust is releasing a statement about the ATM and debit card skimmer which was discovered January 12th on the bank's Water Street ATM.
"We have no reason to believe there is immediate further risk to cardholders and our customers," says the statement. Decorah Bank received a list of compromised cards on Sunday, blocked access from the criminals and immediately notified all affected cardholders.
Affected customers have either received a new card or are making arrangements with the bank to receive a new debit card and PIN.
"Decorah Bank's Water Street ATM is safe to use, as are all Decorah Bank ATMs," says the statement. Affected customers will not lose money, according to the bank. Adds the statement, "It is important to know that if you did not hear from us, you are not affected by this situation."
The bank says it is sharing video footage of its Water Street ATM with the Decorah Police Department.
Meanwhile, the Decorah Police Department is releasing additional information about the ATM skimmer on its Facebook page. Police say officers were notified on Sunday by Decorah Bank and Trust representatives that the bank's ATM located on Water Street was the victim of a skimming device.
The police say the skimmer is believed to have been in place from Wednesday, January 8th, through Sunday, January 12th. Decorah Police say they were notified of the problem on Sunday, January 19th.
