State Senator Michael Breitbach played a role in the Condition of the Iowa National Guard speech to the state legislature

Last week's Condition of the Iowa National Guard address to the state legislature was delivered by Major General Benjamin Corell, the Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard.

When he walked to the podium for his speech, he was accompanied by his wife, Beth, as well as his sons, Tyler, Wade and Travis Corell, who are all active members in the Iowa National Guard.  There was one more person accompanying the Strawberry Point native to the podium--State Senator Michael Breitbach of Strawberry Point.

"It was great to welcome them to the Capitol," said Breitbach, who added, "Family, friends, and everyone that knows Major General Corell should be very proud of his accomplishments."
