State Representative Michael Bergan: It's good to be back to work in the State Legislature

Members of the Iowa Legislature--including Republican Michael Bergan of Dorchester--have returned to Des Moines as the 2020 session is underway.

Bergan tells his constituents he believed Governor Kim Reynolds gave a good Condition of the State Address: "The Governor had an impactful speech, proposing an agenda which will set the trajectory for the state of Iowa over the next decade. Reynolds' speech advocated on behalf of legislation that will improve the opportunities for current and future Iowans. This agenda demonstrates leadership and a vision that takes the priorities of the past and doubles down on our efforts for a greater Iowa. There will be work for the legislature as the details of the plan are released and lawmakers work on specific components."
