Decorah Police are asking for help in setting up a security camera network

The Decorah Police Department is creating a security camera registration program.  Police are asking business owners and residents to voluntarily register the locations of the video surveillance systems with the police, so that when a crime occurs, police will be able to use the video from nearby cameras.

If necessary, the police would ask participants to check their private video footage for a specific date and time for video that may show activity involved with a crime.  If participants so chose, they can voluntarily provide copies of the video footage to Decorah Police.
