A few changes have been made to Decorah City Council committees

Two City of Decorah committees will get new leadership this year.

Decorah Mayor Lorraine Borowski has issued her list of appointments to Decorah City Council committees--and the chair of the Public Safety Committee and the Chair of the Economic Development & Property Committee are swapping responsibilities.

Steve Luse, who had been chair of the Public Safety Committee, will now chair the Economic Development & Property Committee.  Emily Neal, who had chaired the Economic Development Committee, will now chair the Public Safety Committee.

The Public Safety Committee reviews issues involving the police and fire department, First Responders and Disaster preparedness.  The Economic Development & Property Committee reviews initiatives to improve the economy of the Decorah area.
