Calmar man ticketed following two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning

Decorah Police were called to Highway 9 and Ridgewood Drive shortly before 8:00 Tuesday morning.

68-year-old Ronald Elsbernd of Calmar attempted to make a left turn onto Ridgewood Drive from Highway 9. However, he failed to yield to on-coming traffic and struck a truck driven by 59-year-old Daniel Fadness of Decorah.

The crash caused a total of $7,000 in damages. Neither driver was injured. Elsbernd was given a ticket for failure to yield the right-of-way on a left turn.
