Hit and run causes $4,000 of damage

The Decorah Police Department reports a vehicle was unoccupied and properly parked in front of 813 East Main Street on Thursday, January 2nd. Sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. Friday, the vehicle was struck and damaged. The striking vehicle left the scene.

Small turning skid marks near the vehicle could indicate that the striking vehicle was backing or possible turning around at the time of the crash. The collision caused $4,000 of damage to the vehicle that was hit.
