Helping Services is celebrating National Mentoring Month

January is National Mentoring Month and Helping Services for Youth & Families is celebrating.

Proclamations are being signed with the Winneshiek, Howard and Allamakee County Boards of Supervisors on Monday at three different times.

A group event will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco on Saturday, January 11th. Mentors, mentees (and their families), Mentors For A Day, and waiting youth are invited to attend.  For more information, contact Colinne or Kathy at Helping Services.

A Friday Fun Night will take place January 17th at ArtHaus from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Anyone interested in mentoring is encouraged to attend. All youth must be accompanied by an adult.

On Wednesday, January 22nd, Culver's in Decorah will donate 10 percent of its sales from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to the Youth Mentoring program.
